Beans with potato and sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 3 big potatoes (boiled and chopped)
  • 1 can beans (all washed)
  • handful of bean sprouts
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon crushed garlic and ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • salt for seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups of water

Method

Heat oil and add cumin seeds. When it turns slight black, add chopped onion and fry it until it gets brown. Add turmeric powder and stir, then immediately add chopped potatoes. Stir for around 2 minutes and add beans. After cooking for few minutes add ginger and garlic paste. Then add spices and tomatoes respectively. Stir well. Add water and let it shimmer. When it’s shimmering add paprika powder, bean sprouts and then add salt to taste. Let it shimmer for 2 more minutes.
