Pickled radish


  • 1 whole white radish
  • chili powder
  • turmeric powder 
  • cumin seed
  • fenugreek seed
  • quarter a liter oil
  • 1 table-spoon of salt


Peel and cut radish into shapes as per your liking. Spread and leave it to dry for at least 4 hours. Mix chilli powder, turmeric and salt with radish. Heat oil and put cumin and fenugreek seed. Stir until they become brown or black. When done put the oil with seeds in the radish. Mix up well. Put the mix in an air tight jar. After 2-3 days, if it is sour, juicy and crunchy, it is ready to eat.
